The Sign Language Field in Nigeria

American Sign Language (ASL) is used here in Nigeria. The first ASL District Convention in Nigeria was held two weekends ago in an assembly hall near Benin City. This brought much excitement around the country since many brothers and sisters are learning sign language to help deaf ones learn the truth. There was a peak attendance of 1,300. Because of the need for more brothers and sisters to know ASL, Bethel has set up language classes for those who are interested in learning. Many Bethelites are taking advantage of this wonderful program. One Bethelite in our congregation translates our Sunday meetings for a deaf man who has shown interest in knowing more about the Bible. How exciting it is to watch the growth of Jehovah's organization!
